2.28.08- Juvenile's Daughter Killed
The 4 year old daughter of Juvenile, along with her mother and sister, were murdered today in Georgia.
Joy Deleston, a Gwinett County police officer, and her two daughters Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4, were fatally shot. Jelani is the daughter of Juvenile.
The alleged gunman was Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr., Deleston's son. He is currently being held on charges of three counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault.
In 2003, Juvenile (real name Terius Gray) was arrested for abandonment of the child after a DNA test determined he was the father.
2.29.08- King Gets Nasty
Janet Jackson showed up on Larry King last night to promote her new CD "Discipline," and ended up giving King and impromptu dance lesson. Luckily for the censors, there were no "costume malfunctions" and both of King's suspenders stayed in place. Take a look below.
2.28.08- Ja Gets Ruled
Yesterday a judge in Manhattan told Ja Rule that he was not allowed to bail out his two co-defendants in a concealed weapons charge and ordered them both to pay the money back to Ja Rule and post their own bail.
According to New York State Supreme Court Judge Micki Scherere, Ja Rule (find his real name here) "put himself in the position of perhaps controlling the outcome of the case." Scherer also said, "I think the potential for it is a big problem."
2.27.08- Oprah Sells
It was only a matter of time before the queen of own media would have her own store. The first Oprah Store opened in Chicago last month and stocks may of Oprah's "favorite things." If it takes off, be looking for more Oprah Stores to pop up around the country.
2.25.08- J. Holiday Arrested
Atlanta police have been busy recently. In addition to Ne-Yo's speeding arrest, J. Holiday was arrested for marijuana possesion after a routine traffic stop.

2.25.08- Ne-Yo Arrested
Ne-Yo was pulled over and arrested last week in Cobb County, GA for reckless driving and driving without a valid license.
Ne-Yo (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith) was traveling over 100 mph in his 2006 Range Rover.
2.22.08- Givenchy Taps Timberlake
It's just been announced that Justin Timberlake will soon be bringing "Sexy Back" to French fragrance company Parfums Givenchy. The all-new men's fragrance with Timberlake as its spokesperson, will debut to the press in June and launched worldwide to the public this fall.
2.22.08- J. Lo Delivers
PEOPLE reports that J. Lo and husband Marc Anthony welcomed a boy and a girl into this world this morning at 12:12 AM.
"Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon," Lopez's manager Simon Fields told PEOPLE.
It's the first children for Lopez and fourth and fifth for Anthony. No names have been revealed yet.

2.20.08- 50's Case Settled
50 Cent has been ordered to pay up in a case from 2003 where he was accused of assaulting a photographer.
Jim Alcorn, a NY photographer had filed a lawsuit claiming he was assaulted by bodyguards of 50 Cent after snapping 50's photo when he was leaving a jewelry store. Alcorn suffered neck and jaw injuries.
"A settlement was reached and all parties are satisfied," said Alcorn's lawyer, Sanford Rubenstein. A 50 Cent rep said, "It's a legal issue that's been settled."

It's recently been discovered that Maxine Daniels, the 21-year-old that R. Kelly had a four month relationship with until her parents found out, had known R. Kelly since she was 7 years old. Read all about it at the Chicago Sun-Times.
2.15.08- Tony Yayo Cleared Of Charges
G-Unit rapper Tony Yayo( real name Marvin Bernard) was cleared of assault charges yesterday stemming from an incident taking place last year.
Co-defendant Lowell Fletcher had told police that he was actually the one responsible for the beating, but charges were filed against Yayo anyway. Scott Leemon, Yayo's lawyer, told TMZ, "Today's proceedings have validated Mr. Bernard's claim he was falsely accused."
2.14.08- Saving More Than 50 Cent
The New York Post reports that a judge ruled in favor of 50 Cent this week, cutting his child support payments to ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tomkins from $25,000 a month to $6,700 a month. That's a drop of over $18,000 a month.
Talking to The Post, 50's lawyer Brett Kimmel said, "My client and I are very happy with the ruling."
2.13.08- Who's The Queen, Beyonce?
Beyonce's Tina Turner intro at the Grammys didn't set so well with one of this year's Grammy winners, Aretha Franklin.
"There is one legend who has the essence of all of those things: the glamour, the soul, the passion, the strength, the talent," Beyonce said as she introduced Turner. "Ladies and gentlemen, stand on your feet and give it up for the queen."
But reigning Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin made this statement yesterday in defense of her crown. “I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyonce," Franklin said in a statement. "However, I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy."
2.13.08- Juvenile Mug
Juvenile (real name Terius Gray) was arrested Tuesday in Meridian, Mississippi for possesion of under an ounce of marijuana. He paid the $632 bond and was release.
2.12.08- Game Gets Two Months
Felony possession of a firearm in a school zone has resulted in The Game getting two months behind bars.
The charges stem from a fight at a basketball game that the Compton rapper got into almost a year ago. He was alleged to have pulled a gun from his Escalade after punching a player on the opposing team and threatening to shoot him.
Two other counts were dismissed in a plea deal.

2.11.08- Chris Brown and Rihanna Officially Together?
Rumors have been flying for months about Chris Brown and Rihanna, but it appears that they may be getting ready to take their relationship public. The New York Daily News reported last week that they had been spotted on a date in New York Cityafter Brown's performance at Newark's Prudential Center.
EntertainmentWise.com reports that Brown will be flying to London on the 20th of this month to be with Rihanna as she performs on the Brit awards.
2.8.08- G-Unit Clothing No More???
Rumors had been circulating this week about the demise of 50 Cents' clothing line, G-Unit, but today brings the official word that the partnership between manufacturer Ecko Unlimited and G-Unit has come to an end and the employees have been let go. 2.7.08- JCGB Update: Brandy and Ray J Said "Don't Do It"
It's now come out that Brandy and Ray J both advised their mother, Sonja Norwood, NOT to sue the Kardashians, as we reported earlier this week. In a statement released by Sonja Norwood on Tuesday, she says, "I did not want to commence litigation against the Kardashian family without conducting an exhaustive investigation into the charges and discussing all options, including criminal prosecution, with my family."
"After Ray J and Brandy urged me not to file criminal charges because of their prior friendship, I decided to afford the Kardashians an opportunity to resolve this matter without a lawsuit," Norwood said. "When the fraudulent charges were brought to their attention, they apologized profusely, and advised us, through their attorneys, that they would pay the debt in full. However, they have since reneged on that promise."
Ray J is the former boyfriend and sex tape partner of Kim Kardashian.
The lawsuit asks for repayment of all charges plus 10% interest.

Forbes has just released a new list ranking the highest paid African American celebrties in the United States for the past year. Power couple Jay-Z ($83 million) and Beyonce ($27 million) are both on the list, along with 50 Cent ($33 million), Tiger Woods ($100 million), Kobe Bryant ($33 million), Shaquille O'Neal ($32 million), Michael Jordan ($31 million), and LeBron James ($27 million). Once again, Oprah Winfrey tops the list with an overall net worth of $2.5 billion and income of $260 million in the past year.
2.5.08- Name Missy's New Album
In Missy-Elliott.com news, it's been announced that Missy Elliott is holding a contest to name her newest album, coming out on Goldmind/Elektra late Spring. The contest is slated to close on February 20th with the winner announced on March 2nd. The winner will get credit on the new CD and a $500 'Respect Me' adidas gift card.

Looks like 50 Cent may have finally had enough of the spoiled socialite. At a pre-Super Bowl party for 944 Magazine, where Paris Hilton was hosting and 50 Cent was performing, he let her have it. According to the New York Post's Page Six:
During his performance at the Paris Hilton-hosted pre-Super Bowl party for 944 magazine last night, 50 Cent gave a shout out to Paris, who then started singing in the front row. When the princess decided to get onstage and dance, the hip-hopper quickly instructed her to "Get the f**k off the stage." She started to cry and tried to plead with the party's production staff to let her dance, whining, "But it's my party!"

2.1.08- Snipes Aquitted
In somewhat local news, Wesley Snipes has been acquitted of tax felonies in an Ocala Federal Court. He was convicted on three other charges though and could face up to three years in prison. Click here to read all about it in the Orlando Sentinel.

According to Yahoo Music News, Def Jam is seriously considering dropping Nas from the label and it all has to do with the title of his forthcoming album. It seems that Nas wants to title his latest work "N*ggar" and that's a problem for Def Jam. The CD was originally scheduled to be released in November, but that release was shelved and there is no new release date set for the follow up to "Hip Hop Is Dead."
1.28.08- Ludacris Lawsuit
The Philiadelphia Inquirer reports that Ludacris is being sued by three members of the group Chester. A lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia accuses Ludacris of stealing a track from their CD and turning it into "Get Back" on Ludacris' album "The Red Light District."

"Extra" got a hold of the Shaquille O'Neal divorce files and found out that Shaq brings home a whopping $2 million a month!
His bills are outrageous as well. According to the documents, he spends $22,000 a month on maid service, $1500 a month on cable, and $17,000 a month on clothes.

Well, it's not really his wedding, nor is he Jewish, but Pharell stopped by a Jewish Orthodox wedding last month and joined in on the action.
1.25.08- Three 6 Mafia Member's Most Wanted Relative In Court Today
Craig Petties, half brother of Three 6 Mafia member DJ Paul, will appear in Federal Court today. Petties, who was on the U.S. Marshall's 15 Most Wanted list prior to his capture, is accused of transporting drugs over the border by 18-wheeler and running a drug ring between Memphis, Atlanta, and Jackson, Mississippi.
1.24.08- Murda Shot In Head
Roc-A-Fella recording artist Uncle Murda has reportedly just checked himself out of the hospital after being shot in the head Tuesday night while sitting in a parked car in Brooklyn.
Ironically, Murda's lastest release is entitled "Respect The Shooter," and that's what he appears to be doing.
Murda's manager tells SOHH, "Uncle Murda don't deal with no police, he deals with the streets. We don't talk to police."
1.23.08- Lil Wayne Arrested...Again
According to TMZ, Lil Wayne was arrested near Yuma, AZ last night and charged with three felony counts, all involving drugs.
The charges are bound to be tough, since the DEA was called in on the whole thing. He's currently beingheld in jail where his bond was set at $10,000.
1.23.08- Usher's Father's Funeral
Services will be held today in Chattanooga, TN for Usher's father, Usher Raymond III, who died Friday in an Atlanta hospital. Usher's 52-year-old father had lived in Chattanooga.
The cause of death has still not been released.
1.21.08- Usher's Father Dies
People magazine has reported the death of Usher's father, Usher Raymond III who passed away in an Atlanta hospital with Usher and his family by his side.
Usher's parents split up when he was a child, and although his father was reported to have a long battle with crack cocaine, he continued to stay in touch with his son.
The funeral will be held Wednesday in Atlanta.
1.18.08- Bow Wow Squelches Spat Rumors
Bloggers were buzzing last week with rumors of a spat between Bow Wow and Chris Brown, with Bow Wow supposedly accusing Brown of sabotaging his performance.
Bow Wow has come out to announce that it couldn't be further from the truth and that he looks at Chris Brown as a brother. According to Bow Wow, “Rumors are rumors, facts are facts.” “It’s a fact that that dude backstage is like my brother.”
1.17.08- Nate Dogg 911 Call
Almost a month after Nate Dogg's stroke, which he inititally thought was a heart attack, the 911 call from his girlfriend has popped up on TMZ. Click here to listen.
Nate Dogg is currently recovering in a medical rehab facility according to TMZ. According to his manager, he is paralazyed on the left side of his body, but didn't suffer any damage to his brain or his voice.
1.16.08- Eddie Murphy's Two Week Marriage
Eddie Murphy's two week marriage to Tracey Edmonds, producer and former wife of Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, is done.
Murphy and Edmonds had a ceremony on the beach in Bora Bora on January 1st.
"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further," they told E! Online.
"While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”
1.15.08- Is Beyonce Pregnant???
Rumors are all over the internent claiming that Beyonce is pregant and is trying desperately to keep it a secret. The story is that she and Jay-Z, who tried to keep their wedding ceremony in Paris last month a secret as well, are now expectinga baby.
No confirmation on the pregnancy yet, but once we get one, we'll be sure and let you know.
1.15.08- Is Lauryn Hill Broke?
We haven't heard much from Lauryn Hill lately, but the word on the street is that she may be broke! According to Fox News, she was living for a while in the Caribbean with her four kids she had by Bob Marley's son Rohan, but now people are saying that she's back in Jersey living with her mother and the four kids and may possibly be in huge debt.
